NEW DELHI, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- India`s premier space agency Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has offered to provide satellite pictures of Sabarimala shrine area, where a stampede killed 102 last Friday, reported the Press Trust of India on Monday.
This is aimed at taking measures to prevent disasters like last Friday`s stampede from repeating itself.
Chairman of ISRO Dr. K. Radhakrishnan said three dimensional images would help the government of the southern state of Kerala and Temple Board improve infrastructure in Sabarimala area and help avoid such mishaps in future.
They could provide a clear view of each and every landscape, said Radhakrishnan, who said his organization has prepared a databank of peripheral pictures of around 200 districts in the country with the support of the central government.
